The friendly game between The Super Eagles of Nigeria and the Hawks of Togo was played last night in Paris and the eagles did Nigeria proud by spanking Togo 3-0. Two of the goals were scored by Ahmed Musa while the third came from Kelechi Iheanacho.

Alex Iwobi provided assists for both of musa’s goals while while Oghenekaro Etebo did the job for Iheanacho. One of the highlights of the game was the number of players who made their official debuts for the Super Eagles. They include Victor Osimhen, Tyronne Ebuehi, Henry Onyekuru, Uche Agbo, Sikiru Olatunbosun, Alhassan Ibrahim, Stephen Odey and Mikel Agu.
Next game for the Super Eagles is the Africa cup of nations qualifier against the Bafana Nafana of South Africa which comes up on the 10th of this month.

In transfer news, Spanish clubside Atletico Madrid have been told by the Court of Arbitration for Sports that they will not be able to sign new players this transfer season after breaching FIFA rules on underaged players. Atletico will now have to wait till January 2018 to register new players.

In the meantime, Manchester united have cooled their interest in signing Atletico forward Antoine Griezmann who had been linked with a move to the club. United had been considering whether to trigger his £87million pounds escape clause but we hear that Griezmann is no longer a priority for them.

Already, Griezmann has suggested that he is staying with the club despite reported interest from a number of clubs.
He gave the indication in his recent twitter post where he stressed that it was time for the club to remain together more than ever.

In other transfer news Colombian international Radamel Falcao has extended his contract with the newly-crowned French champions, monaco until 2020. Ivory coast Midfielder Yaya Toure has signed a new one-year contract with Manchester City.
Manchester City have agreed a deal with Benfica for the £35million pounds signing of 23 year old goalkeeper Ederson Moraes.
Russia’s Zenit St Petersburg have appointed ex-Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini as their new head coach on an initial three-year contract.

In women’s champions league, The champions league for women has been played and it was Defending champions Lyon who won the game as they beat St-Germain 7-6 on penalties to claim their fourth Women’s Champions League title

In the UEFA champions league, Real Madrid will be aiming to become the first team in Champions League history to win back-to-back titles when they take on Juventus in the final tomorrow. Meanwhile Juventus can become the ninth side in history to complete the league, domestic cup and European treble if they beat Spanish side.

For some team news now, the big one is the potential return of Gareth Bale, who had been sidelined due to injury. Dani Carvajal is also expected to be available for Madrid. For Juventus, Mario Mandzukic is likely to be fit alongside Sami Khedira..
