President Donald’s Trump recent decision to pull out of the Paris climate agreement has been met with a lot of backlash from politicians and celebrities alike. Barack Obama has also handed in his fair share of criticism on the decision to pull out from the agreement.
Obama in his statement alleged that Trump had joined a small handful of nations that reject the future. The former president stated that the accord would have opened the flood gates to jobs. This was in response to Trump’s contrary statements that the environmental regulations served as a hinderance to his goal of creating jobs.
Obama however stated that he was confident that states and cities in the country will continue pursuing a low carbon future “even in the absence of American leadership.”
