A former Governor of Ekiti State, Segun Oni, has urged his supporters to work for the victory of the All Progressives Congress governorship candidate, Dr Kayode Fayemi, in the July 14 election. Also, supporters of all the 33 aspirants at Igede Ekiti Community agreed to work together for the victory of the party. They took the decision at a stakeholders’ meeting convened by a leader of the APC, Deji Adetuberu, and attended by all stakeholders and supporters from the three wards of Igede-Ekiti.
Adetuberu in a statement said the meeting was called to unite APC members in the interest of the party. The statement said, “Ekiti people are so desirous of good governance that will be a clear departure from the present comic, deceit and mal-administration. And the only alternative we have now is APC and Dr Kayode Fayemi.” Oni, while addressing his campaign council chairmen and members from the 16 local government areas at his country home in Ifaki-Ekiti, urged them to forget whatever happened during and after the primary election.
