According to reports, the perpetrators entered the village through Bakin Korama at approximately 9 p.m. on Tuesday night, shooting sporadically.
The assailants also destroyed some of the tents where gold merchants conduct business with their clients.
According to sources, the bandits dispatched a young boy to the village head with a letter informing the community that they have 13 kidnapped residents in their possession.
Eight of the abducted victims are claimed to be from Zamfara, two from Niger Republic’s Dan Isa, and three from Katsina’s Magama community.
The victims who died in the incident were buried according to Islamic rituals, while others who were injured in the attack are being treated at the Jibiya General Hospital.
