Bandits kill 10 persons in Wase LGA of Plateau

Bandits have killed about 10 residents and inflicted severe injuries on others in Pinau town, Wase LGA of Plateau State.

The incident occurred on Sunday, December 12th, shortly after residents had returned home from their monthly neighborhood market.

According to reports, the terrorists invaded the neighborhood and shot brutally, killing at least ten defenseless individuals and wounded many more.

Rt. Hon. Ahmed Idris Wase, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, has condemned the incident and promised that the perpetrators will face the full force of the law.

Wase described the Sunday attack, which resulted in the death of 10 persons with several others injured, as ‘inhuman, senseless and unwarranted’.

The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, in a statement on Monday by his Chief Press Secretary, Umar Muhammad Puma, described the killing as “painful and highly regrettable, especially at this period when the people are striving hard to earn their means of livelihood”

He said; “My sympathies are with the families who lost their loved ones in this callous act. These senseless killings are painful and highly condemnable. I pray that the Almighty God accept the souls of all those who lost their lives in this unfortunate incident.’’
