British police have arrested three people on terror charges, but have stated they are not linked to the London Bridge attack.

The three men were detained on suspicions of preparation and instigation of terrorism offences and have been taken in for questioning.

The operation took place overnight and searches are ongoing at at the residences.

Two of the three men were taken into custody at separate addresses in Newham, east London, while the third was arrested in Waltham Forest.
