Ondo state government has announced, as part of the steps put in place to control the second wave of COVID-19 only people wearing face masks will be permitted to access all government offices in the state from now on.
Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu’s special health advisor, Dr. Jibayo Adeyeye, declared this on Tuesday while addressing newsmen at the Governor’s office’s cocoa conference hall.
Adeyeye expressed concern that a greater percentage of individuals in the state do not comply with the simple precautionary measures against the virus, adding that the measures will start to be implemented by the government.
He noted that large meetings should be avoided, adding that everyone must use the face
mask if there must be any gathering and also ensure that social distance is preserved.
The Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Omolola Fagbemi, speaking on the issue of insecurity, stressed again
the one-week ultimatum issued by the government to all the herdsmen illegally occupying the forests of the state.
