England made 228 for seven against India in the Women’s World Cup final at Lord’s on Sunday after winning the toss.

India pace bowler Jhulan Goswami took three for 23 in her full 10 overs.

Nat Sciver top-scored for England with 51, who were in trouble at 164 for six.

But their tail batted out the full 50 overs, with Jenny Gunn (25 not out) and Laura Marsh (14 not out) sharing an unbroken stand of 32 in 25 balls.
