The federal government and the senate have launched a national Legislative Network on Universal Health Coverage for improved health care financing in Nigeria.
The Minister of Health Prof. Isaac Adewole, said improving global health requires an effective engagement with all member states across multiple sectors
President of the Senate Bukola Saraki revealed the legislative network on Universal Health plan in Abuja.
He identified the right of every individual to basic health services as top priority.
Chairman, Senate Committee on Health, Lanre Tejuoso said Nigeria and many other developing countries have subscribed to the concept of Universal Health Coverage.
U.S. Agency for International Development Supervisory Programme Officer in Nigeria, Erin Holleran said that the universal health coverage progrsmme requires a joint effort.
