Social Network, Facebook said it now counts two billion active monthly users, as the social giant’s founder Mark Zuckerberg highlighted his new mission.

Zuckerberg said Facebook did not just want to connect people but help them find a common ground amongst each other.

Zuckerberg said “As of this morning, the Facebook community is now officially 2 billion people!”

“We’re making progress connecting the world, and now let’s bring the world closer together,” he wrote. “It’s an honour to be on this journey with you.”

The billionaire owner has travelled the US this year to better understand what people want out of the social network.
