Roger Federer won the first set of the Australian Open men’s final 6-2 against Marin Cilic as he attempts to claim a 20th Grand Slam title on Sunday.

With the roof closed on Rod Laver Arena due to extreme heat, the Swiss defending champion broke Cilic’s opening serve and again for a 3-0 lead and there was no way back for the sixth-seeded Croat.

The set was over in just 24 minutes.
