The Nigerian Governors Forum on Monday said it would meet on Wednesday to map a way out of the pandemic’s second wave as schools reopen across the country.
The Governors’ Forum said in a statement signed by its spokesman, Abdulrazaque Bello-Barkindo, that it was alarmed by the severity of the second wave of the global pandemic and the “late start of inoculation” in the region.
In recent weeks, Nigeria’s number of new cases has skyrocketed, seeing the nation surpass the 100,000-mark for overall infections.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control confirmed 1,444 new cases and 15 fatalities on Sunday.
In 2021, the NGF conference will be the first for Governors and will be held on a virtual basis.
Other topics to be addressed at the meeting include the allocation of revenue and the bill for water supplies
