Suspected members of ISWAP/Boko Haram on Saturday who drove in a convoy of vehicles have attacked Babbangida, the headquarters of Tarmuwa Local Government Area of Yobe State.

Reports indicate that the gunmen began shooting sporadically, which caused pandemonium with locals scampering for safety.

Yobe State Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, ASP Dungus Abdulkarim, confirming the intrusion by the suspected insurgents, said details of the attack were still sketchy as of the time of filling in this report.
