Registrar of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) of JAMB, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede says the board has delisted 48 Centres from participating in the Board’s future examination. The board said it also has suspended 24 Computer Based Test Centers for one year.
The 24 CBT centers will not participate in the 2018 UTME, but they could be reconsidered for 2019 and above.
JAMB says the centers were delisted due to what it says were serious Technical deficiencies, extortion, organised examination malpractices among others.
JAMB has rescheduled July 1 2017 as the date for 4, 494 Candidates out of the over 57, 000 whose results were cancelled due to issues like mass examination malpractice, biometric, Technical and Log Out Issues, Late Registration among others.
The JAMB boss said the decision to allow the candidates sit for the rescheduled examination was reached after a thorough review of all the reports that emanated from their centers.
