Justin Bieber Brazil Graffiti Case Dropped

A Brazilian judge has closed a case against Justin Bieber after he paid a fine for spraying graffiti on the wall of a hotel in 2013.

Four years ago, during his stay in the Brazilian city of Rio De Janeiro , the singer tagged the wall of the abandoned Hotel Nacional.

A 19-year-old Bieber had obtained permission to paint at a sports facility nearby, but he chose a different location for “security reasons”.

Defacing buildings is a crime in Brazil punishable by up to one year in jail or a fine.

In a statement released at the time, Brazil’s civil police force said Justin Bieber had been charged with “defacing a building or urban monument by graffiti or other means”

Charges against the canadian singer have now been dropped following the fine payment of $6,000.
