In response to the death of Emir of Zazzau, Alhaji Shehu Idris, on Sunday, the Kaduna State Government has declared three days of mourning in the state.
In its statement on Monday, the Senior Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to Governor Nasir El-Rufai, Mr. Muyiwa Adeleye, noted that public offices would open as normal on 21 and 22 September 2020.

“There will be a public holiday on 23 September to honour his memory. Flags will fly at half-mast during the mourning period,” the statement added.
His Royal Highness, Emir of Zazzau, Alhaji Shehu Idris, died at 44 Army Reference Hospital, Kaduna, on Sunday after a brief illness.
The monarch had died at 84 and was buried the same day at his palace in Zaria.
