The Kano State Electoral Commission (KANSIEC) Chairman, Prof. Garba Ibrshim Sheka, the newly elected chairman of Bebeji local government, Hon Ali Nnamandi was declared dead, just 48 hours after the election of Kano State local government was declared.
The elected chairman died early Tuesday morning after a brief illness, according to a statement signed by the Chairman of the APC Publicity Committee in Bebeji local government, Hon Ibrahim Adamu Tiga, made available to press on Tuesday in Kano.
In the statement, he revealed the late Hon. Nnamandi drove himself to the closest hospital in the local government district but was later reported dead after a brief illness accused of high blood pressure.
