It’s been a year after a helicopter crash in Calabasas, Southern California, killed Kobe Bryant, his daughter Gianna and seven others.
They were on their way on a Sunday morning to a basketball game. Bryant, Gigi, that’s what his daughter was mainly called, and everyone else on board the helicopter was killed in the accident immediately, authorities said.
Bryant, who won five titles, all with the Los Angeles Lakers, in his 20 NBA seasons. He was the recipient of a Grammy. He was a best-selling children’s book author. He will soon be formally consecrated to the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame as a member.
