Mrs. Mary Chikzie, the Ekiti Coordinator of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, debunked reports that a kidnapper had killed a corps member in the state on Wednesday.

In her statement, Mrs. Chukezie confirmed that the person killed at the attack was not a serving NYSC Ekiti State Corps Member, as many have reported.

News outlets had earlier reported that suspected kidnappers abducted two others, including a Nigerian born retired U.S. army officer in Ijan-Ekiti, Gbonyin Local Government Area of the state.
