The Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun has ordered the reopening of schools in Ogun State from Monday, October 26.
The reopening of schools in Ogun State comes days after the governor had closed schools due to the crisis that accompanied #EndSARS protests in the state.
In a statement signed by Kunle Somorin, the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, on Sunday, Abiodun noted that peace has returned to all parts of Ogun State.
The peace, he said, was as a result of the suspension of the protest.
The statement reads, “This is to announce to the general public that all schools are to resume academic activities tomorrow, Monday, October 26, 2020.”
“With peace returned to all parts of the State after organisers suspended protests,” Government said it has “no reservations, whatsoever in reopening schools tomorrow,” the statement continues.
