Two Russian medical research centers completed the first phase of Covid-19 “Candidate Vaccine” trails on Wednesday.
The clinical trials of the world’s first Corona Virus vaccine on volunteers at the First Moscow State Medical University and the Main Military Clinical Burdenko Hospital has been successfully completed.
The two groups of 18 volunteers have been discharged after separately taking part in a 28 day clinical trial in their respective hospitals.
Before their release, they had passed a blood test which was used to study the development of the immune response to the novel Corona Virus.
Findings show that the vaccines are safe with no serious complications or adverse reactions registered during the trials.
The volunteers will return to the hospital for a day, on the 42nd day after their first vaccination for official medical examination and diagnosis.
Russia currently has over 200,000 active Corona Virus cases.
