The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has confirmed the appointment of Abisola Olusanya as the substantive Commissioner for Agriculture.

This promotion of Olusanya to Commissioner for Agriculture by Sanwo-Olu was contained in a circular on Wednesday by the Head of Service, Hakeem Muri-Okunola.

Olusanya had been appointed into the State Executive Council on August 20, 2019, as a Special Adviser on Agriculture.

She was named Acting Commissioner on June 8, 2020.

Her elevation followed the resignation of ex-Commissioner, who is now the Oniru of Iru, Oba Omogbolahan Lawal, Abisogun II.

Olusanya also holds 10 years of leadership experience in sales, marketing and supply chain management.

She is a professional in executing strategies towards food security, among others.

The circular described her as “a leader with a participatory management style and proficiency in establishing and managing entire operations with key focus on sustainable organisational culture.”
