Senate To Probe Alleged Fraud

The Senate has directed its Committee on Marine Transport to investigate a $3billion fraud allegation against the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA).

Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, who raised the allegation alleged fraud was in connection with the activities of the Joint Venture Enterprises of the NPA, namely, the Lagos Channel Management, the Bonny Channel Company, and the Calabar Channel Management Company Limited.

Correspondent Adeoye Olalekan reports that Senate President Bukola Saraki asked the Senate Committee on Marine Transport to investigate the allegation raised against the NPA.
