Reported cases of coronavirus infected persons in Africa have crossed 3,021,769 cases.This was confirmed by the Africa Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC) on Sunday.
In terms of the number of positive cases, the most affected African countries are South Africa, Morocco, Egypt, Tunisia and Ethiopia.
South Africa has reported more than 1,2m confirmed cases and 32,824 deaths.

The death toll associated with the pandemic was 72,121, as recorded by the Africa COVID-19 Continental Disease Control and Prevention Agency.
However, as of Sunday morning, a total of 2,450,492 people infected with coronavirus recovered across the continent.
