FIFA, the football governing body has published its latest ranking of National Teams.
The Nigerian Super Eagles have dropped one place to the 39th ranking in the world and are ranked sixth in the continental ranking.
During the period under review, the super eagles contested two games, as their third match versus Corsica was not recognized by Fifa.
The Super Eagles first beat Togo 3-0 in Paris on June 1, before losing 2-0 to South Africa in a crucial African Cup of Nations qualifier in Uyo.
Egypt, Senegal, Congo DR, Tunisia and Cameroon are the top five teams in Africa in that order.
African Nations Cup qualifying foes South Africa and Libya occupy the 64th and 87th position in the global ranking while the last opponent Seychelles are ranked 194th.
Germany, Brazil, Argentina are the top three teams in the world, followed by Portugal and Switzerland.
The next ranking will be published on the official FIFA website on the 10th of August 2017.
