Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu has directed that all schools to resume on Monday 2nd November 2020.

A teenager named Fathia Ojewoye has been raped and killed by unidentified persons in Abeokuta, Ogun State, the Police Command has stated.

The 14-year-old secondary school pupil had been found dead in an uncompleted building on Saturday at Agbeloba-Oriyonrin area of Abeokuta, the State capital, after failing to return from an errand.

The Ogun State Police Command has confirmed the ugly murder. The teenager Fathia had been reported missing by her parents in Abeokuta on Wednesday, three days before her corpse was found.

Reports also gathered showed that the teenager’s mother had sent her to refill their cooking gas cylinder around the area. She did not return home since then.

Her parents, who became apprehensive, began to search for her, but to no avail, until her body was discovered on Saturday.

Unidentified sources have said Faithia was last seen with a young man at the time she was going to the gas station. The young man had since fled the area.

The teenager was reportedly brutally raped then murdered by the unknown suspect(s).

The Ogun State Police Spokesman, Abimbola Oyeyemi, said the investigation had commenced unraveling the mystery behind the teenager’s brutal killing.

He further assured the public that the command would ensure that the perpetrators were apprehended soon.
