The United Nations says Nigeria may not continue to be the leading African economy except it is industrialised.
United Nations Industrial Development Organisation UNIDO Representative to ECOWAS and Regional Director, Jean Bakole said industrialisation would help Nigeria achieve its set goal of Economic Recovery and Growth Plan by 2020.
He said Nigeria could achieve this through support and dedication.
The United Nations had set industrialisation as one of its priority areas to assist the Nigerian government.
The U.N has reestablished its commitment to work closely with the Nigerian government to implement its mandate at all levels.
